The Data Base Analyzer and Parameter Estimator (DBAPE) is a practical tool for (1) analyzing a national database containing geographic and soils properties data and locations for meteorologic stations, and (2) estimating parameters for subsurface flow models. DBAPE merges four technologies (database management, a user interface, process algorithms, and graphics) in a hardware-portable environment to provide a broad range of capabilities for search and analysis of agricultural soils to support water quality management.
