Abstract
The case study presents the results of an analysis performed by EPA to assess the potential benefits of reducing the cumulative impacts of impingement and entrainment (I&E) at cooling water intake structures (CWIS) at the Brayton Point Station located on Mount Hope Bay in the Town of Somerset, Massachusetts across the mouth of the Tauton River from the city of Fall River. Mount Hope Bay in an upper embayment of Narragansett Bay. It is an interstate water comprising waters of both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
