"The purposes of these surveys are to provide aquatic habitat and water quality baseline data to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to be used in the evaluation of: (1) livestock grazing impacts on the flora and fauna of Big Creek, Birch Creek, Thoms Creek, and Trout Creek; and (2) impacts from increased recreational use on the potable water supply and aquatic ecosystem of Rock Creek within Desolation Canyon. These baseline data are to be used in management decision formulation by the BLM for the management of land/water resources on national resource lands (NRL) in Utah"--Page 1. |
