Abstract
The literature of hydrology is reviewed with respect to rainfall-runoff models. The requirements of urban hydrology and urban runoff models are defined. Existing models are described and their utility for urban applicatins evaluated. It is considered that several well instrumented urban experimental watersheds are needed in order to test and possibly refine existing models. Specifications for such watersheds are presented.
