Abstract
The purpose of this guideline doucment is to present the basic elements of air quality data analysis that are essential in preparing reports describing the air quality status of a given region. With this aim in mind, emphasis has been placed upon describing both the conventions and the methodology to be employed with minimum discussion of the associated statistical theory. Much of the material that is presented has been treated before but for the sake of completeness, is reiterated in this document with appropriate references indicated.
