Abstract
The Directory identifies sources of Federal hydrogeologic assistance available to State agencies in developing their Comprehensive State Ground Water Protection Programs. This assistance may help States characterize their ground water resources, identify impacts on the resource and obtain data useful in prioritizing ground water resource demands. The Directory includes the names of departments/agencies/offices that have staff with ground water expertise, the geographic area served, and the telephone numbers and addresses at which assistance can be obtained. The primary audience for this Directory is the staff of State agencies. However, staff of local agencies and private organizations may also find it useful.
