Abstract
The dry cleaning industry is described in terms of structure, processes, and emissions, air pollution control techniques used, and typical plant modifications. Hydrocarbon emissions occur from the evaporation of dry cleaning solvents, which include trichlorotrifluoroethane, perchloroethylene, and petroleum distillates. Certain control technique configurations are assumed, and the environmental and economic impacts of those controls are assessed.
