Abstract
This document describes how to access biological monitoring data from the Chesapeake Bay Program's Chesapeake Information Management System (CIMS). It provides information on: Currently available Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) biological and living resources monitoring and geographic information system (GIS) databases; Procedures for obtaining biological and living resources monitoring data online from the CBP-CIMS Internet web page, online from CIMS partner web pages, or directly from the biological monitoring data manager and/or living resources GIS specialists; CIMS standards for publishing data to the public, including field names, attributes, and CIMS data dictionary tables; Guidance for organizations submitting Biological and Living Resource data directly to the CBPO data center; and Guidance for data usage and calculation of benthic ecosystem indicator metrics.
