| Abstract |
The report presents the results of a preliminary determination of the feasibility of resource recovery for the two counties. This determination involved development of first-order estimates of the quantity of waste generated by Macon/Bibb and Houston Counties; evaluation of the market potential for energy recovery; development and evaluation of resource recovery alternatives; and identification of the major tasks to be performed prior to deciding to implement a resource recovery project. These activities reflect the results of several site visits to Macon, Bibb, and Houston Counties and interviews with county and municipal personnel as well as 12 industrial energy users in the area. |
