The demonstration grants activity was established with the Solid Wastes Program to encourage and support demonstrations projects as directed by the Solid Waste Disposal Act of 1965. Principal functions include: advice concerning development of new applications; tehcnical review of new applications; continuous monitoring of funded grant projects; dissemination of information resulting from funded projects; and development of required administrative and fiscal procedures. This publication was prepared to disseminate concise information concerning projects which received demonstration grant support between January 1 and Jun 30, 1968.
