Abstract
The report presents the results of a bench-scale treatability test to investigate key process parameters influencing an innovative chelation-electrodeposition process for recovery of lead from contaminated soils. Ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) and diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) were used as chelating agents with DuPont Nafion and Ionics membranes. Lead removals with regenerated chelating solutions were similar to removals obtained with fresh solutions.
