Abstract
The report material describes the awards program in detail and provides guidance for preparing and subitting nominations. The purpose of the awards program is to recognize significant contributions in the development and implementation of cost-effective, environmentally safe and publicly acceptable biosolids beneficial use practices which recycle nutrients, improve soil conditions, or otherwise conserve valuable natural resources. This excellence awards program helps EPA achieve its goal of promoting, collecting and disseminating information pertaining to the benficial use of biosolids as authorized and encouraged under Section 405 (g) of the Clean Water Act.
