Abstract
Fiscal year 1975 was the beginning of the Environmental Protection Agency's lead responsibility for the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Federal Interagency Energy/Environment R&D Program. The 'Report of the Interagency Working Group on Health and Environmental Effects of Energy Use,' completed in November 1974, recommended an integrated environmental sciences research program addressing needs in five major areas: Pollution characterization and monitoring; Environmental transport processes; Health effects; Ecological effects; and Integrated assessment. This report is the compilations of proceedings from the review session.
