This paper is a compilation of some federally sponsored oil shale research, both current and recently completed. It lists 148 programs. A breakdown of funding levels and number of projects in the areas of (1) general environmental research, (2) water research, (3) atmospheric research, (4) land and revegetation research, (5) health effects research, and (6) miscellaneous oil shale research is shown. Sections II through VII provide the interested reader with information on the funding level, purpose, and principal contact for projects identified in the six general categories listed previously.
