Abstract | This 65-page soft-cover book contains over 50 scientific abstracts based on platform and poster presentations given at the first International Symposium on Biology and Management of Ruffe, held March 21-23, 1997, in Ann Arbor, MI. Presentations by the world's foremost experts on the Eurasian ruffe, a nonindigenous nuisance fish, focused on its biology, ecology, impacts, control and management. Special emphasis was placed on ruffe as a characteristically invasive species, applied ruffe management, identifying research gaps, and predicting environmental and economic costs. |
