Abstract
The 75-acre Westinghouse Electric (Sunnyvale Plant) site is an active industrial facility located in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara Valley, California. The site currently manufactures steam generators, marine propulsion systems, and missile-launching systems for the U.S. Government. The area around the site has been developed for light industrial, commercial, and residential uses. The ROD addresses remediation of the contaminated shallow ground water and soil, which pose the primary risks at the site. The primary contaminants of concern affecting soil and ground water are PCBs, solvents, and fuel compounds. The selected remedial action for the site is included.
