Abstract
The report describes relationships, data, assumptions, and methodology leading to conclusions involving the effect of increased nutrients on San Francisco Bay and Delta waters and biota. It takes into consideration the future development of the economy of the tributary area, expected changes in the quantity and quality of all waste water sources, planned water resource development projects as they will affect the hydrology of the area, and the uses of Bay and Delta waters that will be required in the future for all legitimate purposes. Material is presented describing laboratory and field studies, literature surveys on fishery resources and water quality requirements, Bay-Delta water quality and biota, and predictive models leading to economic evaluations.
