This report is primarily concerned with existing manpower resources of State and local air pollution control agencies. It deals with the following aspects of the manpower problem: The present allocation of manpower resources by State and local governments for air pollution control; the current salary levels of air pollution control personnel; the education and experience requirements for air pollution control personnel; recruitment problems; and employee training and development policies and programs. |
