Abstract
This paper provides an introduction to the technology and describes currently available units that were evaluated. Design criteria, performance assessments, and a review of the costs of the various technologies for the control of both separated stormwater and CSO (combined sewer overflow) are presented. The report also provides a summary of the performance characteristics, process limitations, and removal efficiencies for vortex separators.
