The booklet is provided as a guide to the botanical component of wetland identification in the Rocky Mountain region. It is intended to introduce those interested in wetland identification to many of the dominant and characteristic species and genera in the flora of this region. With each species is a brief description of the features most useful for identifying each plant, notes on the ecology of the species, synonomy, geographic range, and rand on the National Wetlands Inventory lists of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It is not intended to be a comprehensive treatment of the wetland flora of the Rocky Mountain Region. The booklet is illustrated with line drawings of each species described, drawn by Kris Meiring.
