This document covers standards applicable to hazardous waste management facilities, specifically, provides the rationale for the standards established for land-treatment facilities with 'Interim Status'--that is, they were in existence on November 19, 1980 (the effective date of the regulations) have notified EPA of their activities, and have applied for a permit, which has not yet been processed (Subpart M).
