Abstract
The objective of this effort was to develop and validate a means of determining whether dust sampled as part of EPA's planned sampling program contains residual contamination attributable to the collapse of the World Trade Center (WTC) towers. The tested screening method is a critical component of the sampling program as it will be used for two primary purposes: (1) to determine the geographic extent of the dust remaining from the collapse impact, and (2) along with the results from contaminants of potential concern (COPC) testing, to determine the need for a clean-up of the sampled areas.
