Abstract
The report presents the findings of a solid byproduct utilization survey conducted by the National Food Processors Association (NFPA) and Battelle-Northwest Laboratories (BNW) for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Pesticide Programs (EPA/OPP). The intent of the survey was to assess the amount of solid byproducts which are fed to animals as a result of food processing operations. The information will be used by EPA/OPP in detemining what, if any, feed tolerance levels of pesticide residues should be established for these materials.
