| Abstract |
U.S. EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA) has developed the Chemical Industry Compliance Improvement Tool (CIT), a directory of environmental regulatory resources. The CIT includes both governmental and nongovernmental resources that may help the chemical industry sector and regulators assess and improve compliance with applicable regulations. Specifically, the document provides resources that explain some of the requirements under the major federal environmental statutes and provide approaches to improving compliance through self-assessments, auditing and pollution prevention. |
