Abstract |
Pregnant female rats were exposed to graded airborne concentrations (0, 100 and 400 ppm) of the test material on Days 6 through 15 of gestation. There were no changes in the dams that indicted an adverse compound-related effect. There was no evidence of variation in fetal sex ratio, embryo toxicity, inhibition of fetal growth and development, or teratogenic potential resulting from exposure of the dams to these concentrations of xylene. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of graded airborne concentrations of the test material on the fetuses of pregnant rats exposed during the period of organogenesis. |
