Abstract
This decision document presents an amendment to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) previously selected remedial action for the contaminated ground water at the Old Midland Products Superfund Site (Site) in Yell County, Arkansas. The previously selected remedy was documented in the Record of Decision (ROD) for the Site, dated March 24, 1988. This new remedy was chosen in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), as amended by the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), and, to the extent practicable, the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP). This decision is based on the Administrative Record, which has been developed in accordance with Section 113(k) of CERCLA, 42 U.S.C. section 9631 (k), and which is available for review at the Two Rivers School District, Office of School Superintendent, 307 W. Hill Street, Ola, Arkansas, at the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) offices in Little Rock, Arkansas, and at the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 offices in Dallas, Texas. The Administrative Record Index (Appendix B) identifies each of the items comprising the Administrative Record upon which the selection of the remedial action is based.
