Abstract
The Final Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) addresses the requirements of Section 2 of Executive Order No. 12291. It reviews the projected costs associated with management and disposal of the high-level radioactive wastes (or spent nuclear fuel) generated by nuclear power plants. It then evaluates the potential effects on the program for mined geologic repositories, as called for by the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 (NWPA), of the Agency's final environmental standards for disposal of these wastes.
