| Abstract |
The manual follows the question and answer format presented in the EPA pamphlet 'A Citizen's Guide to Radon'. Each section of the manual provides a more detailed discussion of the issues underlying each section of the pamphlet and cites the sources of information used by EPA to formulate each answer. In addition, the derivations of certain estimates (such as total lung cancer deaths and radon risk levels) are explained to allow comparison between EPA's methodology and other approaches presented in scientific literature. |
