Abstract
Several problems and needs in investigating wastes containing radioactive materials are discussed. These include possible unavailability of data at the source, lack of knowledge of many physiological and biological factors involved in permissible concentrations, undeveloped or unstandardized analytical techniques, the ultimate fate in nature of the materials, and personnel training.
