Abstract |
It is the purpose of this report to consider radiation protection factors for shipment of radioactive materials on aircraft and to provide recommendations for the radiological protection of passengers. The analysis considers costs and effectiveness of various protection measures in order that the most efficacious balance can be gained between the medical benefits of these materials and exposure of the air-traveling public. |
