Abstract
This module describes the current statutory and regulatory structure and discusses the status of rulemaking efforts and the RCRA Cleanup Reforms. This training module lists the statutory authorities for corrective action and explains their application; identifies the existing regulatory authorities for corrective action, and explains their application; describes the primary triggers for corrective action; defines terms that are specific to the corrective action process (e.g., solid waste management units and action levels); describes how EPA is currently implementing the corrective action program and identifies significant components of the RCRA Cleanup Reforms; describes how the corrective action program can apply to generators and other facilities that do not require a permit.
