Abstract
The Urban Soil Lead Abatement Demonstration Project (USLADP) was carried out in three cities (Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati). The data from these three projects were submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where they were converted to SAS data set format and used for the preparation of the USLADP Integrated Report (EPA/600/P-93/001aF). The data are now being released as an attachment to the USLADP Data Dictionary (EPA/600/C-96/002), which was prepared for use by individuals with an interest in using the data for the purposes of scientific research. A rudimentary knowledge of SAS statistical programming language and SAS data set format is required to use the data sets or to convert the data sets to another format. EPA provides only limited technical support to the use of these data sets. Collectively, there are over 3,400 variables in these data sets. The data files on the diskette contain various fields of data for environmental and biological measurements, as well as demographic information for subjects from each city. Privacy information or information considered to be confidential has been deleted to protect the identity of the participating families.
