Abstract
This document is to direct the regulated community and the regulators to the vast number of EPA techical resource documents, handbooks, and guidance manuals as they prepare or review permits for land disposal facilities. The topics included in this Guide are limited to key performances standards and minimum technology requirements specified in 40 CFR Par 264 and Part 270, for hazardous waste land disposal facilities. Detailed topics include foundations, dike integrity and slope stability, liner (both clay and geosynthetic) systems, cover systems and run-on/run-off controls. Each chapter briefly discusses the existing regulations, major technical parameters commonly considered, and references to assist in the selection of the methodology.
