Abstract
The project was undertaken in order to assess the nature of and extent of impact on recreation behavior that has derived from the development of a new reservoir. Research findings suggest that the impact on the general recreation behavior of population in the study area as a whole was relatively modest - about 25% of respondents suggested that their recreation behavior had changed as a result of Keystone Reservoir development. The effect of distance is strong however, and while almost all the residents within ten miles had been affected, almost none of the respondents beyond sixty miles were affected by the new reservoir development.
