Abstract
This booklet is designed for small child care facilities to help them ensure the drinking water in their buildings does not contain elevated levels of lead. This guide uses the 3Ts (training, testing, telling) to assist you with the steps needed to reduce children's exposure to lead in drinking water. Training: information about health effects and sources of lead; Testing: simple instructions for testing water and recommended solutions for fixing a lead problem if one is identified; and Telling: sharing information with parents and staff.
