Abstract

The report describes State projects funded under section 28 of the Toxic Substances Control Act. Section 28 allows Federal assistance to States wishing to develop toxic substances investigation and control programs. Approximately $4.5 million was awarded, over a three-year period, to nine States -- Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico and Wisconsin.
