Abstract
This fact sheet summarizes the information in the RED for pronamide, also known by the trade name Kerb. Pronamide is a selective, systemic, pre- and post-emergence herbicide that acts by inhibiting plant cell division. It is used to control grasses and broadleaf weeds in food and feed crops including lettuce (the largest use site), endive, alfalfa, rhubarb, pome and stone fruits, artichokes, berries, grapes and legumes, as well as on woody ornamentals, Christmas trees, nursery stock, lawns, turf and fallow land. Formulations include a wettable powder and a granular. Pronamide may be applied using ground spray equipment, by soil incorporation or by aircraft.
