Recognizing that the health of over 3.2 million people in Kentucky is directly dependent upon the condition of their drinking water, Dr. William P. McElwain, Commissioner, Kentucky State Department of Health, requested that the Water Supply Section, Environmental Protection Agency, evaluate the Department's Water Supply Program. The report presents the Environmental Protection Agency's findings, conclusions, and recommendations, with supporting data and explanatory text of that evaluation.
