Abstract
The analysis provides our assessment of the economic impact on the paper and related industries that will result from the air and water pollution control requirements anticipated through 1976. The analysis is meant to provide information that can be used in formulating federal policy for pollution abatement programs in the paper industry over the next five years. Discussed are the following: Industry structure; Profitability trend; Price impact; Mill shutdown probabilities; Employment impact; Indirect impacts.
