| Abstract | A feasibility study of several selected gas turbine automobile engine concepts has been conducted to estimate the probable manufacturing cost of the engines in quantities of 100,000 and 1,000,000 units annually; to perform system analyses of the candidate engines by comparing probable vehicle performance, fuel economy, manufacturing costs, and emissions; and to recommend future research and development goals.
