Abstract
The report describes petroleum refining and natural gas processing, refinery equipment, process instrumentation, air pollution monitoring instrumentation, maintenance of refinery records for use by air pollution control personnel, estimating and assessing emissions, plant and equipment maintenance, and the qualifications and training requirements of field enforcement personnel. It was prepared to familiarize state and local air pollution control officials with the operation of petroleum refineries and natural gas processing plants and to aid agency personnel in developing surveillance, inspection, monitoring, reporting and enforcement procedures.
