Abstract
Under the Clean Air Act (CAA), Congress gave the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) broad authority to protect air resources throughout the nation. Under Section 112 of the CAA, EPA is developing a National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) designed to reduce emissions generated during the automobile coating process. This report presents a regulatory impact analysis (RIA) to evaluate the economic impacts associated with the regulatory options under consideration.
