| Abstract |
As part of the Chesapeake Bay-Susquehanna River Basins Project, the Chesapeake Field Station (CFS), Middle Atlantic Region , Federal Water Pollution Control Administration (FWPCA) has undertaken a comprehensive water quality management study of the Potomac River Basin. Important phases of this study are the determination of the effects of wastewater discharges on water quality in the Potomac Estuary and the recommendation of a program to achieve the approved water quality standards for this interstate river. An essential part of the background investigation has been the compilation of a current inventory of all wastewater discharges in the Potomac River Basin. |
