| Abstract |
The investigation was designed to provide answers to the following questions: (1) What are the sources of the sediment in the Potomac River Basin in the Washington Metropolitan area; (2) What are the relative magnitudes of the sediment loads contributed to the Potomac River and its tributaries below Great Falls from these sources. The report summarizes the results of an investigation made by the Surveillance Branch to answer the above questions. |
