Abstract
The report presents the findings and analyses made in investigating the consideration given to land use and environmental impacts during the planning of the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Management System. The major focus of the study is on impacts related to land use and urban development; minimal attention is given to other environmental impacts brought about by the facility itself, such as those involved with effluent disposal, water quality, etc. These environmental impacts are the subject for investigating by members of the NSF study team. However, the consideration given to secondary environmental impacts caused by urban development which might be induced or allowed by the wastewater system is a subject of the investigation.
