Abstract |
A description is given of all the major requirements in analyzing whether an area should be designated as one requiring an air quality maintenance plan and whether a plan is sufficient to meet designated air quality goals. Elements of air quality maintenance area analysis include design and update of emission, meteorological and air quality data bases, use of dispersion models and air quality data to estimate present air quality, projection of future emissions and emission distribution patterns, use of models to estimate future air quality, and assessment of whether control strategies are sufficient to meet air quality requirements in the future. |
