Abstract |
In 1988, the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) was amended to accelerate the reregistration of products with active ingredients registered prior to November 1, 1984. The purpose of the Agency's review is to reassess the potential hazards arising from the currently registered uses of pesticide; to determine the need for additional data on health and environmental effects; and to determine whether the pesticide meets the 'no unreasonable adverse effects' criterion of FIFRA. This document presents the Agency's decision regarding the reregistration eligibility of the registered uses of flower and vegetable oils. The document consists of six sections. Section I is the introduction. Section II describes flower and vegetable oils, their uses, data requirements and regulatory history. Section III discusses the human health and environmental assessment based on the data available to the Agency. Section IV presents the reregistration decision for flower and vegetable oils. Section V discusses the reregistration requirements for flower and vegetable oils. Finally, Section VI is the Appendices which support this Reregistration Eligibility Decision. The RED FACT fact sheet is also included in this document. |
