Abstract
Health Advisories (HAs) were prepared for 15 Volatile Organic Chemicals. These include: trichlorofluoromethane, dichlorodifluoromethane, o-chlorotoluene, p-chlorotoluene, 1,2,3-trichloropropane, 1,1,1,2-tetrachloroethane, hexachlorobutadiene, 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene, 1,3,5-trichlorobenzene, naphthalene, bis-(2-chloroisopropyl) ether, 1,1,2-trichloro ethane, bromomethane, chloromethane and bromochloromethane. The HAs provide technical guidance on health effects, analytical methods and treatment technologies for drinking water contaminants. The HAs describe non-regulatory concentrations of drinking water contaminants that are considered protective of adverse health effects for different durations of exposure. They are subject to change as new information becomes available.
