Betyl phthalyl butyl glycollate is a commercial plasticizer with potentialities for use in food wrappers. Inasmuch as no published information is available with respect to its toxicological characteristics, a critical study to determine these qualities was undertaken. In addition certain extraction data were also secured of food wrapping films in which butyl phthalyl betyl glycollate was used as a plasticizer.
