Abstract
The objective of the document is to present a plan which will establish a workable chain of authority and responsibility among local, State, and Federal agencies involved in controlling and cleaning up a major spill of oil or other hazardous materials that may occur in the Pacific Northwest Region, which includes the States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Western Montana. A separate contingency plan is being developed for the State of Alaska. (Author)
